Terms and Conditions – Speech and Communication Training Services

1. Services

We provide speech, communication, and presentation training services, including but not limited to:

  • One-to-one coaching
  • Group workshops
  • Online courses and programmes
  • Supporting materials (workbooks, videos, resources)

Services may be delivered in person or online.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing or participating in our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

3. Payment Terms

  • All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment must be made in full prior to the commencement of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or cancel services if payment is not received.

4. No Refund Policy

  • All payments are strictly non-refundable, including deposits and full programme fees.
  • This applies regardless of attendance, participation, or completion of the programme.
  • Change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or failure to attend does not entitle you to a refund.

5. Rescheduling and Cancellations

  • We may, at our discretion, allow rescheduling of sessions with reasonable notice.
  • Missed sessions without prior notice may be forfeited.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances.

6. Client Responsibility and No Guarantee of Results

  • Our services are designed to support skill development; however, results depend on your active participation, effort, and consistent practice.
  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes, improvements, or success.
  • Lack of progress may occur where:
    • Techniques are not applied correctly
    • Insufficient practice is undertaken
    • External factors influence performance

By engaging in our services, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your progress and outcomes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your participation in our services.
  • Our total liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid for the services.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable laws.

8. Professional Boundaries

  • Our services are educational and coaching-based only.
  • They do not constitute therapy, medical, psychological, or clinical advice.
  • You are responsible for seeking appropriate professional support where required.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All materials provided (including workbooks, videos, and course content) remain our intellectual property.
  • You may use these materials for personal use only.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or share materials without prior written consent.

10. Confidentiality

  • We will treat your personal information and discussions as confidential.
  • You agree not to share confidential materials or information belonging to us or other participants.

11. Online Services

  • You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate technology and internet access.
  • We are not liable for interruptions caused by technical issues outside our control.

12. International Clients

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
  • Where services are purchased internationally, you agree that New Zealand law applies unless otherwise required by local consumer laws.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, illness, or technical failures.

14. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will apply to all services.
